Special Cell


About the Department

A special cell has been set up on 18th April, 2016 as per Subject No. 10A in the agenda of the 12th meeting of the Board of Governors of Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Research and Training Institute (BARTI), Pune. The main objective of this section is to provide financial assistance to the women belonging to the deprived sections of the Scheduled Castes. Training for such women will help improve their economic and social conditions and raise their standard of living.


The special cell has so far conducted various training programs for women’s working in the deprived sections of the Scheduled Castes, women’s self-help group chairpersons, children under the Right to Free and Compulsory Education (RTE), 2009 for online application of deprived children and newly elected SC corporator’s.

Main Objectives:

  1. To promote equality and social justice more effectively in various fields.
  2. To raise the social and economic standard of living of unorganized / unskilled and deprived women’s of Scheduled Castes by imparting vocational training.
  3. Contribute to the personal development of SC women by imparting training on personality development.
